How to make tourism films more personal?
Fjord Tours is the company behind, among others, “Norway In a Nutshell” and “Sognefjorden in a Nutshell”, selling package tours to tourists who want an easy way to experience the best Norway has to offer.

Challenge:
Fjord Tours already had many beautiful clips of Norwegian nature, and their campaigns had very good results on Meta and Google.
They wanted to make their films even more personal, so that viewers would feel like they were actually part of the trip, and not just seeing beautiful drone shots from the tours. The two main tours, “Sognefjorden in a Nutshell” and “Norway in a Nutshell”, are somewhat challenging to differentiate as they contain several similar elements.
Solution:
The solution was to hire two models who followed a “Norway in a Nutshell” and a “Sognefjord in a Nutshell” tour, getting really close to their experience and joy, combined with beautiful drone shots. We also needed a common thread in the films that explained and described what isn't naturally captured on camera. Since the films were shot so personally, we also wanted the “travelogue” to be narrated personally and “conversationally”.
The result:
The result was two films that are both used on Meta and YouTube, drawing even more traffic and views than the previous films.
