Visit Voss – How to showcase an entire village?

Voss is one of Norway's coolest places for activities for the whole family. We regularly work with Visit Voss to create commercials for all the different attractions. Together with Visit Voss, we try to show how unique Voss can be and how it is an adventurous place to visit, both for families and extreme sports enthusiasts.

Challenge:
Visit Voss generally had little campaign material for its digital channels. They needed a refresh of almost all their activity offerings, hoping to attract even more tourists to the village.

Solution:
We quickly realized that video was the solution to the problem. Since the budget was not unlimited, the goal was to create relatively short (around one minute) videos that would capture the joy of engaging in the activities. To capture this joy, we therefore wanted to make the films personal by getting close to those performing the activities, truly highlighting the spontaneous happiness in their faces. Combined with spectacular drone footage, we found a combination that has yielded very good results.

Result:
Most videos achieve view rates of 50-60% for each YouTube video ad, and a consistent increase in visitors to the village is reported.
